The first meeting of the Turkish Federation of Small Ruminant and Breed Breeders was held at the Kocatepe Animal Hospital of Afyon Kocatepe University. Federation President Ömer MIRÇIK and Scientific Board Chairman and Board Member Prof. Dr. İsmail AYTEKİN stated that this meeting, where important decisions were made regarding the future of the sector, the protection of native breeds, and the empowerment of producers, marked the first step towards a strong unity. Breeders, academics, and sector stakeholders from all over Turkey exchanged views on the current state of small ruminant farming, the problems encountered, and proposed solutions.
