A protocol was signed between Afyonkarahisar Municipality and Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) for the treatment and rehabilitation of stray animals.
During the protocol signed by Afyonkarahisar Mayor Burcu Köksal and AKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş; AKÜ Secretary General İhsan Ceran, Afyonkarahisar Deputy Mayor Cem Kasapoğlu, Kocatepe Animal Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Musa Korkmaz and Afyonkarahisar Municipality Veterinary Affairs Director Şükrü Ertunç were also present.
Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş stated that AKÜ attaches importance to university-city cooperation and that stray animals are examined, their diagnosis and treatment will be carried out at Kocatepe Animal Hospital with the signed protocol.
Within the scope of the signed protocol, the vaccination, examination, diagnosis and treatment of stray animals were carried out at Afyon Kocatepe University Veterinary Health Application and Research Center (Kocatepe Animal Hospital).
