Animal hospital equipped with technological devices in Afyonkarahisar provides continuous service
Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) Veterinary Health Application and Research Center Kocatepe Animal Hospital treats approximately 600 animals per month.
The center, which has been providing service in the Ahmet Necdet Sezer Campus of the university since 2005, moved to a new building with a closed area of 7,657 square meters in 2023 with the investment made, and was equipped with more modern and technological devices.
The hospital, which also provides service to animals transported from different cities of Turkey, especially Afyonkarahisar, also offers practical training opportunities to veterinary faculty countries.
Detailed examinations are performed in addition to routine departments
AA correspondent Kocatepe Animal Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Musa Korkmaz said that the modern and well-equipped Kocatepe Animal Hospital in the region was designed to provide service to all types of animals.
Korkmaz, who stated that the center has an open area of 21 thousand square meters, said the following:
“Animal treatments are performed effectively with the latest technological devices in our hospital. In addition to routine services, detailed examinations are also performed in our hospital. In our hospital, all surgical interventions, tumor surgery, eye surgery, soft tissue surgery and orthopedic interventions are performed by faculty members who are experts in the field, along with applications such as echocardiography, hemodialysis, physiotherapy, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ultrasonography. Stem cell treatment has been initiated for our patients.”
