AKÜ and Uşak Municipality for Street Animals Collaboration

Afyon Kocatepe University (AKÜ) Veterinary Health Application and Research Center (Kocatepe Animal Hospital) and Uşak Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate signed a Treatment Protocol.

AKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakaş, Kocatepe Animal Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Uşak Municipality Veterinary Affairs Director Dr. Deniz Yeni, Uşak Municipality Veterinary Surgeon Rıza Yılmaz attended the protocol signing ceremonies.

The Treatment Protocol signed between AKÜ Kocatepe Animal Hospital and Uşak Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate: Examination, diagnosis and treatment of homeless, sick and injured animals living in the area of ​​responsibility of Uşak Municipality.

Kocatepe Animal Hospital Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Deniz Yeni, who provided information about the protocol, said that they signed a protocol with AKÜ Veterinary Health Application and Research Center and Uşak Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate for the examination, diagnosis and treatment of homeless animals. Yeni said, “Within the scope of this protocol, stray animals will be brought to our university by the municipality and after these treatment skills are completed and rehabilitated, they will be delivered to the municipality. Then, after the distribution of the compatible ones by the municipality, they will be released back into their natural habitats.”
